While you are empty—empty of yourself, meaningless, empty of emotion—you sharpen your teeth, you lick your lips. You want to approach me, but you are afraid I will run away. Yet, as soon as you lay your hand on my neck, I am tamed. Your eyes dare me to defy reality, to not let the weather, the wind, the air, or the atmosphere tell us what to do, what to live, what to breathe. And so, my breath swears to let you go where others dare not tread. Take everything without asking. Go ahead and bite me. Swallow everything. Show me the animality that human beings possess. Be violent, be alive, and burn. Burn your skin and bones against mine.
So finally, you let yourself live. You pull from my mouth the air that was missing from your own breath. You lose your hands in my messy hair, forgetting your daily order. You smell on my body all the scents you have breathed before. You bite my breasts and feed yourself on the flesh missing from your life. You find between my legs the path to follow. Then you become me, and you no longer know who you are. I am going blind. I could scream, but my voice lacks the power of what is happening. You devour me whole. You take from me everything you have missed before. Then I realize all the power you have just drawn from me. I abandon myself and offer it to you without fear, shame, or calculation. It is thunder, it is lightning, destroying everything around us. Everything else is empty. You do not want to stop. My eyes beg you not to inflict the suffering of abandonment. Stay. Here. Inside. You fight with reality. My skin rubs against yours. Like stones striking each other, we make fire.
When reality catches up with you, you resist and seek strength in my eyes. Exhausted, you let it go. You lose it, you release all. You feel a brief fracture that hurts you, but you know—you know I gave you everything. I am filled with you. You are filled with me. The consumed fire keeps us wrapped in warm air. Smoothly, the world takes back its place.
From now, I am imprinted by your passage. From now, you can no longer survive without feeding on me. From now on, it will be you with me, and me with you.
