Dear Human,
You are only human flesh.
For you—the women, children, and old people who suffer in the ignorance and in the silence of the world, and even your own—you are, in the eyes of those of power, of influence, and of decision, nothing but flesh. Not even edible meat. At best, you will be a potential bargain chip used to sell their merchandise, or a reservoir of cheap labor. Today, you are just piles of bodies. Six million Congolese, more or less, have never disturbed their sleep, their appetites, or their projects.
Forgive their ignorance. Because if you are that « flesh, » they are merely human beings. « They know not what they do, » as Jesus said. Demand from those who can, to restore justice and to awaken the sleeping majority.
When Humanity will eventually fall under the weight of its vanity, its protected ignorance, its silence, its selfishness, and what they pompously call « growth »—those who were treated once as only flesh will be the ones who survive. Because in the end, there will only be human flesh. Nothing else.
